Week 3 ( 24/11/2025 - 28/11/2025)

Week 3 Reflection – Second Phase Teaching Practice The third week of my second phase teaching practice was both meaningful and memorable. During this week, I continued my classes in 8A, where I taught the iconic speech “Tryst with Destiny” by Jawaharlal Nehru. Introducing this historic piece to the learners was a rewarding experience. The class responded with curiosity and enthusiasm, especially when we discussed India’s freedom and Nehru’s vision for the nation. Their active participation made the learning space lively and engaging. In addition to my regular classes, I also handled substitution periods, which gave me a chance to interact with other classes and understand different learning patterns. Week 2 ( 17/11/2025 -21/11/2025)

Week 2 Reflection – Second Phase Teaching Practice The second week of my teaching practice was both engaging and enriching. I handled classes for 8A and 8B, and the experience helped me grow more confident in managing the classroom environment. During this week, I completed giving the notes of the poem “Get Together”, ensuring that students clearly understood its theme and message. After that, I started teaching the next chapter, which sparked new discussions and fresh interest among the learners. I was also assigned substitution periods, which gave me an opportunity to interact with other classes and understand different learning styles across the school. These additional classes helped me improve my classroom management skills and adapt quickly to new situations. Overall, Week 2 strengthened my teaching abilities and deepened my connection with the school community.

On the very first day, we were assigned to handle classes 8 A, 8 B, and 8 C, and we looked forward to beginning our lessons with renewed enthusiasm. However, the schedule did not progress as planned. The students of Class 10 had a three-day tour, which led to disruptions in the timetable, and as a result, the 8th and 9th standard classes had no regular periods for most of the week. Despite these challenges, the school atmosphere remained lively. Friday was celebrated as Children’s Day, and the campus was filled with joy and colour. Various programmes were organised for the students, bringing smiles to their faces and creating a cheerful end to an otherwise irregular week. Although teaching sessions were limited, the first week provided valuable experiences and helped us ease back into ou...
