Second week reflection ( 04/08/2025 - 08/08/2025)

My second week at St. Augustine High School, Mararikulam, was both engaging and meaningful. I continued handling English classes in Standard IX, teaching portions of the lesson The Toilet from the unit Winds of Change. The students responded well to my questions, though I had to manage occasional disturbances during class. A highlight of the week was the special assembly on Hiroshima Day, where students presented speeches, poems, and performances to remind us of the tragic consequences of war and the value of peace. The program was touching and gave me a chance to reflect on the importance of compassion, non-violence, and unity. Overall, this week strengthened my confidence as a teacher and deepened my understanding of how school activities and lessons together shape students’ values and learning.
