Second Phase – Second Internship

The second phase of my second internship began on 12/01/2026 (Monday). During this week, I was allotted regular teaching periods in Class 8 every day, which helped me gain continuity in teaching and better understand the learners’ needs. Along with the allotted classes, I also handled substitution periods, giving me exposure to different classes and situations.NMMS classes were conducted alongside regular teaching, which enhanced my classroom management and coordination skills. Overall, the week was productive and enriching, as it strengthened my confidence, time management, and adaptability as a prospective teacher.

Week 8 ( 22/09/2025-26/09/2025)

Week 8 Reflection During this week, I continued my classes in Standard 8 with the lesson Talking of Science and in Standard 9 with the poem Sea Fever. Along with the regular lessons, we also conducted a science quiz, which engaged the students actively and helped them develop more interest in the subject. This being my final week of training, it was a special one. On Friday, at the end of the day, we shared sweets with the children and offered snacks to the teachers and staff as a small token of gratitude. It was a memorable conclusion to my teaching practice, filled with warmth and appreciation.

Week 1 Reflection – Second Phase Teaching Practice Our second phase of teaching practice began at St. Augustine H.S., Mararikulam, and the week unfolded with a mix of excitement and unexpected changes. On the very first day, we were assigned to handle classes 8 A, 8 B, and 8 C, and we looked forward to beginning our lessons with renewed enthusiasm. However, the schedule did not progress as planned. The students of Class 10 had a three-day tour, which led to disruptions in the timetable, and as a result, the 8th and 9th standard classes had no regular periods for most of the week. Despite these challenges, the school atmosphere remained lively. Friday was celebrated as Children’s Day, and the campus was filled with joy and colour. Various programmes were organised for the students, bringing smiles to their faces and creating a cheerful end to an otherwise irregular week.
